Job Purpose: The Project Officer is responsible for facilitating the organization’s projects implementation, monitoring, and reporting to ensure projects achieve their objectives effectively and efficiently. This often involves working closely with partners, stakeholders, and project teams to manage various aspects of the project cycle
Principal: Accountabilities
Project Management
- Support partners in managing all aspects of the project cycle, including planning, implementation, and monitoring and any other duty related to the project cycle.
- Ensure timely production of all project documentation and reports for all the organization’s project activities.
- Coordinate with partners for the timely submission of quarterly reports and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as indicated by the organization in line with each project assigned to them.
- Review progress reports, analyze KPIs, and provide timely feedback to partners and the management team.
- Develop and implement project work plans on an annual, six monthly, or quarterly basis as well as the corresponding reports of the projects that have been implemented.
- Conduct regular field visits with the implementation team to ensure smooth implementation of the planned project activities such as borehole construction, construction and renovating of school where the orphans go for schooling.
- Prepare briefing papers and project updates for periodic review meetings.
- Compile project beneficiary case studies when required
- Support in new project proposal writing when necessary.
- Support in the implementation of project activities in a specific site or district.
- Manage day-to-day project activities, including budget oversight, and coordinate with external stakeholders
- Ensure project activities align with global standards and local government requirements
- Contribute to the design, planning, management, and monitoring of project activities, particularly those related to civil society strengthening
- Establish monitoring and evaluation systems and ensure timely submission of all activity reports by implementing partners.
- Contribute to the wide dissemination and visibility of project achievements
