Job Summary
The EHS Officer will promote safe working conditions, conduct inspections and investigations, manage environmental compliance and strengthen Qcil’s safety culture.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Advise departments on injury-prevention and job-safety measures.
- Conduct plant inspections and track unsafe acts and conditions to closure.
- Investigate accidents and dangerous occurrences and recommend corrective action.
- Coordinate environmental monitoring, permits, waste reduction and statutory reporting.
- Deliver EHS training, audits and awareness activities.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Science and Technology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- NEBOSH IGC or another recognised occupational-safety certificate is mandatory.
- At least three years of practical OSH experience in an industrial setting.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP, cGMP and quality-management systems.
