Job Summary
Mukwano Industries seeks three EHS Officers to identify environmental and workplace-safety risks and ensure compliance with company policies, management systems and applicable laws.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Draft, implement and maintain environment, health and safety policies and guidelines.
- Administer PPE, safety and health programmes and monitor staff compliance.
- Review the corporate EHS management-system manual and support staff training.
- Investigate accidents and incidents and monitor corrective actions.
- Conduct audits, compile EHS data and report statutory or internal incidents.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- BSc in Environmental Science, Industrial Chemistry or a related discipline.
- At least two years of relevant experience in a similar field.
- Knowledge of laws, regulations and procedures affecting manufacturing organisations.
- Strong communication, systems-management and decision-making skills.
