Job Summary
Kampala Marriott Hotel is recruiting a Cost Controller to monitor inventories, purchasing and operating costs and to help management protect margins and financial controls.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct food, beverage and general-store inventories and investigate variances.
- Review product mix, margins, selling prices, receipts and cost-of-sales ratios.
- Check purchase and receiving records and maintain accurate cost-control files.
- Verify point-of-sale prices and support periodic stock checks.
- Prepare cost reports and communicate material exceptions to management.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- High-school diploma or GED.
- At least three years of related work experience.
- No supervisory experience is required.
- Strong numerical, record-management and analytical skills.
- Ability to follow Marriott financial and operational-control procedures.
