Job Summary
CHAI seeks an Associate to support implementation and monitoring of activities that strengthen emergency referral systems for mothers and newborns in Uganda.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Implement emergency-referral activities and maintain work plans, trackers, field reports and programme documentation.
- Collect, compile and analyse referral data and identify field-level implementation gaps.
- Support health-facility and district assessments, training, mentorship and stakeholder coordination.
- Help develop referral protocols, communication tools, training materials, job aids and knowledge products.
- Support budget tracking, reports, quarterly reviews and donor updates.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, nursing, medicine, health sciences, social sciences or a related field.
- At least three years’ experience in public health, health-systems strengthening or another demanding results-driven environment.
- Experience coordinating complex projects involving multiple teams or stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, communication, presentation, organisation and Microsoft Office skills.
