Job Summary
The officer will help ensure accurate, complete billing and collection by reviewing medical claims, correcting errors, tracking rejections and coordinating resubmissions.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Review medical and non-medical errors and completeness of claim forms.
- Confirm prescriptions, diagnoses, signatures and payment guarantees.
- Reconcile insurer submissions, remittances, payments and rejected amounts.
- Correct reclaimable bills, resubmit claims and attend reconciliation meetings.
- Compile daily reports and communicate recurring rejection causes.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Degree or diploma in Clinical Medicine; an accounting-focused degree or diploma is also listed.
- Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer literacy, especially Microsoft Office.
- Ability to use Navision is considered critical.
- Similar claims experience is desired, but the vacancy is listed at no-experience level.
