Job Summary
The Senior Research Officer will join the Research Quality Assurance Unit in Kampala, supporting IMPACT country operations across East and Southeast Africa. The assignment is expected to begin in September 2026.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Support research standards, quality control, technical backstopping, peer review, and learning across country research teams.
- Act as the RQA focal point for the regional portfolio.
- Support decentralised quality-assurance processes, reviewer tools, training, and capacity strengthening.
- Provide technical guidance across the research-implementation cycle and travel regionally when required.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Strong research, quality-assurance, ethics, analytical, and technical-support capability.
- Experience in humanitarian or development research, research methods, and support to multi-country teams is required.
