Job Summary
The Finance Specialist will support sound financial management, budgeting, reporting, compliance, internal controls, audit work, and partner finance management for DRC Uganda.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and review project budgets, budget follow-up reports, donor reports, cash-flow forecasts, and financial reconciliations.
- Verify payment requests and ensure compliance with DRC policies, donor requirements, and statutory obligations.
- Support audits, financial-system roll-out, month-end closure, and partner financial assessments.
- Provide financial analysis and capacity support to programme teams and partners.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Final or part CPA/ACCA certification.
- At least five years of progressive finance experience with international NGOs.
- Experience in donor financial management, budgeting, Microsoft Dynamics 365 or another ERP, and advanced Excel.
