Job Summary
The Loans Supervisor manages branch credit underwriting and portfolio quality, ensuring loans are approved, disbursed and recovered in line with policy, targets and regulatory requirements.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain portfolio quality and arrears indicators within target.
- Ensure complete loan documentation and security perfection before disbursement.
- Conduct spot checks and submit portfolio, arrears and litigation reports.
- Coach Loans Officers, manage performance and support client mobilisation.
- Identify suspected fraud and enforce credit policies and sound lending practices.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- At least three years of experience in a similar microfinance role.
- Strong understanding of lending policies, credit risk and financial statements.
- Excellent credit analysis, supervision, people-management and report-writing skills.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Valid driving or riding permit.
