Job Summary
The Child Protection Project Manager will lead the DK Media child-protection project in Rhino Camp and Imvepi, ensuring quality prevention, case management, alternative care, and community-based child-protection programming.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate project activities, budgets, donor reporting, work plans, and compliance.
- Lead child-protection prevention, case management, Best Interest Procedures, alternative care, positive parenting, and adolescent life-skills work.
- Manage staff, partners, CBOs, RLOs, and para-social workers.
- Represent DRC in sector coordination forums and ensure safeguarding across activities.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Social Work, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related field.
- Minimum five years of progressive child-protection programming experience.
- At least three years in people management and two years as a Project Manager.
- Knowledge of Uganda’s refugee context, especially West Nile, and child-protection minimum standards.
