Job Summary
Airtel Uganda is hiring an engineer to assure data-centre power, passive infrastructure, maintenance, contractor performance and Tier 3+ facility standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyse passive outages, perform root-cause analysis and prepare technical reports.
- Plan and supervise preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance.
- Conduct power audits, site checks, surveys and requests for information.
- Validate bills of quantities and monitor contractors against agreed service levels.
- Manage passive spares, fuel, access, equipment records, redundancy and safety compliance at core sites.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor of Engineering degree or a related qualification.
- At least three years of relevant experience.
- Professional certification is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, presentation, negotiation, contractor-management and technical troubleshooting skills.
