Job Summary
Ensure timely, accurate and compliant preparation, declaration, filing, payment and reconciliation of statutory tax obligations, including customs-related tax compliance.
Key Duties
- Prepare VAT, WHT, PAYE, Corporation Tax, Stamp Duty and other statutory tax returns.
- Prepare tax-payment schedules and reconcile tax accounts against the general ledger.
- Maintain tax records and liaise with URA, customs, auditors and other regulators.
- Support customs declarations, import/export tax compliance, audits and financial closing.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration or related business course.
- At least three years’ experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of Ugandan tax legislation, customs procedures, financial reporting, ERP systems and reconciliation.
- High integrity, accuracy, analytical ability and attention to detail.
