Job Purpose

The Cashier is responsible for accurately processing customer payments for vehicle services and spare parts while delivering excellent front-desk customer service. As the final point of contact, the role ensures accurate financial close-out of repair orders, clear communication of charges, and a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Payment Processing

  • Receive and process customer payments including cash, cards, and cheques.
  • Issue receipts and invoices accurately for services and spare parts.
  • Process refunds and adjustments for returned parts or corrected invoices.
  • Ensure all transactions are recorded correctly in the system.

Financial Reconciliation & Controls

  • Balance cash drawers and POS reports at the end of each shift or day.
  • Prepare daily cash summaries and support bank deposit processes.
  • Maintain accuracy and integrity in all financial transactions.

Administrative & System Support

  • File repair orders, invoices, and payment records systematically.
  • Perform basic data entry and update customer and transaction records.
  • Assist with office supply management and general clerical tasks.
  • Handle related paperwork such as rental vehicle documentation where applicable.

System & Process Management

  • Use workshop or dealership management systems to post payments, apply discounts or warranties, and close repair orders.
  • Follow internal procedures for billing, refunds, and financial controls.
