How to Prepare a Strong Application

  • Select a focused portfolio: Choose six to eight strong pieces. For each, identify the brief, your contribution and why the final design worked. Show both digital and print work rather than a large folder of unexplained images.
  • Demonstrate production skills: Include one campaign adapted into a poster, social post and banner. Check typography, readability, colour settings and print preparation; explain how you kept the message consistent across formats.
  • Prepare a collaboration example: Describe a time you handled feedback under a deadline. Explain how you prioritised revisions and checked the final artwork. Be ready to discuss your approach to respectful, accessible communication.
  • Complete both application steps: Submit the correct design-role form and check that your emailed attachments open. Add a working portfolio link to your CV and give the files clear names.
