Job Purpose
To develop cybersecurity awareness content, plans, and support implementation of the cybersecurity awareness strategy and programs.
Primary Tasks and Responsibilities
- Design and implement cybersecurity awareness plans to educate stakeholders, including UCC staff, communication service providers, government agencies, and the general public.
- Organise training sessions, workshops, and seminars to enhance cybersecurity knowledge and skills among UCC employees and external stakeholders.
- Develop educational materials such as brochures, posters, online resources, and training modules to disseminate cybersecurity information across various communication channels.
- Support cybersecurity awareness campaigns and programs to promote cybersecurity hygiene and proactive measures against cyber-attacks and data breaches.
- Provide training on cybersecurity procedures, including incident response protocols, to ensure stakeholder preparedness.
- Promote adherence to cybersecurity policies, standards, and guidelines, ensuring stakeholder awareness of their responsibilities.
- Collaborate with industry partners, government agencies, and educational institutions to share resources and best practices in cybersecurity awareness.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the line supervisor from time to time.
Key Performance Indicators
- Cybersecurity awareness plans, campaigns, and programs designed and implemented.
- Number of training sessions, workshops, and seminars organised.
- Quality and relevance of educational materials developed.
- Improvement in compliance levels with cybersecurity policies, standards, and guidelines.
Education and Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related field.
- Professional cybersecurity certification and membership in a recognized security body is an added advantage.
Working Experience
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating cybersecurity awareness programs, workshops, and educational materials.
- Knowledge in graphics design, animation and visual effects, video production, or related fields is an added advantage.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Technical:
- Proficiency in cybersecurity principles and best practices
- Knowledge of cybersecurity training tools and simulation platforms
- Understanding of instructional design methodologies
- Familiarity with common cyber threats and threat landscapes
- Knowledge of standards such as ISO/IEC 27001, information risk management, and relevant cyber laws
- Graphic design, animation, and video production skills
